Vivo has officially announced the launch date of the V40 series smartphones in India. It is set to launch in the country next week. The lineup is confirmed to comprise of the V40 and V40 Pro. They will arrive as the successors to the last year’s Vivo V30 and V30 Pro. The V40 series microsite is now live on the official website as well as on Flipkart. The Vivo V40 series is set to launch in India on August 7 at 12 pm IST. The V40 and V40 Pro have a pill-shaped camera island comprising of a circular module that houses two sensors and an oblong module accommodating an aura LED flash unit and a third lens (only on the pro model). Both phones will pack ZEISS-branded cameras and a 50MP selfie snapper. As per the microsite, the setup on the V40 Pro is confirmed to comprise a 50MP OIS-enabled main lens paired with a 50MP telephoto and 50MP ultra-wide-angle unit. The upcoming offerings will come with a ZEISS multifocal portrait that will allow you to shoot at multiple focal lengths such as 24, 35, 50, 85, and 100mm.
