System requirements revealed for inZoi, a life-like The Sims competitor
Something to look forward to: inZoi’s unveiling last year extensively showcased the game’s highly detailed Unreal Engine 5 graphics. Another notable feature of the upcoming life simulation game was its versatile character editor. Interested users can try the tool for a limited time later this month as publisher Krafton exhibits the game at Gamescom.System requirements revealed for inZoi, a life-like The Sims competitor

Krafton has revealed more details and the system requirements for its upcoming life simulation game inZoi.
A free demo will be available for a week later this month, allowing users to experiment with the realistic Sims competitor’s extensive character creation options. Steam will host the free demo from midnight August 21 to midnight August 26.
The editor is powered by Unreal Engine 5 and contains over 250 options for body type, clothes, age, accessories, and other details. Users can also apply AI-generated textures, create various poses, and build backdrops.
Interestingly, iPhone owners can use facial recognition to transfer their facial expressions onto their avatars, known as Zois. Players can share and download creations on Canvas, the game’s social platform.
Given the level of detail shown in screenshots and videos, it’s unsurprising that inZoi’s system requirements are far higher than its closest comparison – The Sims 4.
More in line with recent big-budget action games, inZoi requires at least 12 GB of RAM, 60 GB of storage space, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT. However, Krafton recommends 16 GB of memory and an RTX 3070 or RX 6800 XT for the best performance.
Additionally, Krafton confirmed that inZoi will support user mods through Overwolf when it launches later this year. The modding app store supports many popular titles like League of Legends, Fortnite, Minecraft, Counter-Strike 2, and Krafton’s PUBG.
Krafton initially unveiled inZoi last fall. Like EA’s immensely popular people simulator, the game allows users to direct their avatars through various occupations and lifestyles. Users can also customize the cities and buildings their avatars inhabit. It remains unclear whether inZoi will be free-to-play. Although The Sims 4 turns 10 next month, news on its successor has been scarce. Publisher EA confirmed it was working on a new Sims title last year codenamed Project Rene, saying it would be free-to-play and offer a new way of enjoying life simulators.
