The idea behind this mod is (or “was”) to “bring the entirety of Tamriel from The Elder Scrolls series into the expansive universe of Starfield.” It sounded amazing when we first read about it, albeit an extremely ambitious project.

Well, it’s only been a week since we highlighted it, and unfortunately… it’s been cancelled. Speaking to VG247, one of the modders on the project suggested there was a lack of support and excitement from the community about it:
“After sharing the initial concept with the community, it became clear that the support we were hoping for just wasn’t there. Many fans voiced concerns and indicated that they were not interested in seeing this project come to fruition. In terms of the team, we were a small group of passionate modders excited about the possibilities. However, the feedback we received made us realize that the excitement we felt wasn’t shared by the broader community.”
That’s the end of that, then! It’s a real shame that Project Tamriel won’t come to fruition in Starfield, but perhaps the team’s ambition may have inspired another set of modders to build something similar in the years to come.Starfield Modder Blames Lack Of Support As Elder Scrolls Project Gets Cancelled
In any case, we’re going to see some incredible Starfield mods in the future thanks to the Creations suite, and we probably can’t even imagine some of the awesome features it’ll be getting a result. The sky’s the limit for this one!
