Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition launched in the US with a number of parental controls
Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition in Indonesia towards the end of last year with a customized exterior that better protects it from external damage. Now the company has announced the availability of the Tab A9+ Kids Edition in the US with a price tag of $270 for 4GB + 64GB configuration. The Kids Edition comes with a customized UI and three different colors on the exterior – Blue, Red, and Yellow.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset. While the chipset is 5G capable and the standard Galaxy Tab A9+ also offers 5G connectivity, the Kids Edition solely relies on WiFi.
It packs an 11″ TFT LCD display that has a resolution of 1920 x 1200. It packs an 8MP camera on the back and a 5MP one on the front. It has a dimension of 168.7 x 257.1 x 6.9mm and weighs 480g. There is a 7040mAh battery inside, which is the same as the standard version. It also supports the same 15W charging speed.
Samsung Kids App offers a number of controls to the parents
According to the company, this new product is meant to ensure a safer environment for kids in this digital age. “The Galaxy Tab A9+ Kids Edition is designed to provide a space for children to use technology safely, while also providing them the room to learn, grow, create, stream, and explore,” said Drew Blackard, Vice President of Mobile Product Management. The device comes preloaded
with the Samsung Kids app which empowers parents to curate customized safety protocols. With this feature, parents will have the ability to set specific screen time limits, restrict access to certain apps, and monitor their children’s online activities.
