Android updates are exciting; therefore, you want them to keep coming to your device for as long as possible. However, because of limited software support, millions of devices become ineligible for future updates every single year.

The budget Narzo series has also been getting a maximum of one OS update. However, recent models do come with a promise of two Android updates.

Realme offers a maximum of three Android updates but is limited to high-end GT models. However, its sister brands, Oppo and OnePlus, provide an extra year of Android updates to its high-end models. Samsung and Google have taken this game to a new level by promising seven years of Android updates.

When Will Realme Start Rolling Out Android 15?
Android 15 has already entered the ‘platform stability’ phase with the beta 3 release, and recently another beta build — beta 4 — went live. This means we’re close to the stable release.

Google hasn’t revealed a release date for Android 15. However, so far, it has been following the last year’s rollout timeline. So, if everything goes the same way, the stable Android 15 should arrive in early October.

Thanks to the beta program, Realme users can get an early taste of the new OS ahead of the stable release. Currently, it’s available for Realme 12 Pro+, but it’ll expand to more devices in the coming weeks and months.Android 15: The Last OS Update for These Realme Phones

As for the stable release, it should start rolling out towards the end of November. The threat will be given to the high-end phones first, and then it will eventually expand to other devices.

Android 15: What to Expect?
Here are some of the most important and valuable additions to Android 15:

1. Satellite Connectivity

Android 15 “extends platform support for satellite connectivity.” It provides support for SMS, MMS, and native RCS apps to use satellite connectivity for sending and receiving messages. The OS also adds some UI elements to ensure a consistent user experience.

All Android 15 phones may not support satellite connectivity as they will likely require special chip and carrier support.

2. Theft Detection Lock

Google recently introduced the Find My Device network, allowing users to find their lost Android devices using a crowdsourced network of over a billion Android devices. This feature is also available to older Android devices, but Android 15 makes it more useful by integrating the Theft Detection Lock feature.

The Theft Detection Lock feature automatically locks the device when someone snatches your phone and runs away. It automatically detects unusual motion and locks the device on observing suspicious movements or activities.Android 15: The Last OS Update for These Realme Phones

What’s more exciting is that the other person will need the same Google account to set up the device after a factory reset. Otherwise, the device won’t work, just like Apple iPhones.

3. Private Space

Android 15 adds Private Space to store super-secret apps or files under an additional layer of security. It uses a different Google account for better protection.

The apps you use inside the private space or your downloads aren’t visible to other users. They can’t even see the apps in the recent apps.

4. App Archiving

Similar to offloading apps on iPhones, Android 15 will allow users to uninstall unnecessary apps while keeping the user data around. There won’t be any data loss; you can continue where you left off after reinstalling/unarchiving the app.

Android already has app archiving via the Google Play Store. It lets you archive and restore those apps via the Google Play Store. However, Android 15 integrates this feature at the OS level, allowing users to archive/restore apps, even those installed outside of the Google Play Store.

5. Split App Pairs

Android 15 will save you a lot of time if you spend most of your time using the device in the split-screen mode. It lets you save your favourite pairs of apps to use in the split-screen mode. For example, you can create a shortcut for YouTube and the Notes app.
