Two new Xiaomi phones with model numbers 24122RKC7C and 24117RK2CC have emerged in China’s radio certification platform. These models, which were previously seen in the IMEI database, are believed to be the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro phones, respectively.
According to recent reports, the Redmi K80
and K80 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipsets, respectively. Both devices are expected to feature a flat OLED panel that offers a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The K80 series may pack a 6,500mAh battery and support up to 120W fast charging. For security, the K80 Pro may feature an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, whereas the K80 may have an optical-type fingerprint sensor. The Pro variant’s rear camera setup may comprise a 50-megapixel main camera, an ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel 3x telephoto camera.
In China, the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro are expected to rival the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro smartphones.
