As is standard for Apple events, plenty of Cupertino’s new products will be revealed during the show, though the primary focus of Glowtime will be on the new handsets: the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Expect to see the usual upgrades

in the latest Apple devices. All the iPhone 16 models are rumored to pack the new A18 SoC built on TSMC’s enhanced 3nm ‘N3E’ process. The phones are also said to come with even bigger screens than the iPhone 15 series (the iPhone 16 Pro Max could have a 6.9-inch display), better cameras, and an extra button on the side. This ‘Capture’ button could act as a shutter for the camera to take photos and videos, but others say that it could also control the camera’s focus and zoom functions.

The iPhone 16 will be the first iPhone to launch with full Apple Intelligence, Cupertino’s AI suite of tools and software that includes the likes of image generation, AI rewrite, call recording/transcription, and an upgraded Siri. Apple Intelligence will also be available for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, along with other devices.

Glowtime will also see the reveal of the next Apple Watches, the Apple Watch Series 10 (or X), which is rumored to feature thinner cases and a model with an Ultra-sized 49mm screen.

The latest audio devices will almost certainly be shown off during the event. New entry-level and mid-range AirPods, the latter of which will have a design similar to the AirPods Pro and noise cancellation, are expected. There could also be a new version of the over-ear AirPods Max featuring USB-C.

Something else that might be on show

is the new Mac mini. It will be available in two versions, one equipped with the base M4 chip and one featuring the higher-end M4 Pro chip. It’s said to look like an iPad Pro encased in an aluminum shell.Watch Apple unveil the iPhone 16 today, and more at its Glowtime event

If you’re wondering why it’s called Glowtime, that’s likely a reference to the glow effect that appears around the edges of the screen when Siri is activated in iOS 18. It’s also the internal name for macOS Sequoia.

Make sure to come back at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT to watch the entire event live.
